Perso, j’aime bien cette expression.
Et toi ? 🌺

Used when you want to say "Let’s keep in touch" or "Let’s follow up later".

EX:
– T’es dispo ce week-end ?
– Je sais pas, peut-être que je bosse.
– Ok, tu me diras quand tu sauras.
– Ouais, on se tient au courant.

🗣 Translation:
– Are you free this weekend?
– Not sure, I might have to work.
– Okay, let me know once you know.
– Yeah, we’ll keep in touch.

💬 Difference:
Je te tiens au courant = I’ll keep you posted.
On se tient au courant = We’ll stay in touch.

Et toi ? 🌺

- Non, à 14h.
- Ah, autant pour moi !

Here’s a powerful expression French people love and one you’ll hear in stories, gossip, and casual confessions:

🧠 “Il s’avère que…”
✨ It means: “Turns out…”, “Apparently…”, “We ended up realizing that…”
You don’t translate it as “It proves that…” that’s a trap.

EXAMPLES:
➡️ Il s’avère qu’il ne savait pas nager.
Turns out he couldn’t swim. 🏊‍♂️😅
➡️ Il s’avère que c’était pas son chien.
Turns out it wasn’t his dog. 🐕
➡️ Il s’avère qu’on était au mauvais mariage.
Turns out we were at the wrong wedding. 💍😳

FRENCH TIP 🧽
❓”J’ai pas pied”
🧠 Literally: “I don’t have foot”
✔️ Real meaning: I can’t touch the bottom (like in a swimming pool).
⚠️ NOT “I lost my foot!” 😆

💬 “Trop fort !”
✔️ Real meaning: That’s amazing! / That’s hilarious!
🗣️ Literally = “too strong”… but it’s a spoken way to show admiration or surprise.
